The White House Disinformation Campaign on Libya

An Incriminating Timeline: herit.ag | New evidence shows there were security threats in Benghazi, Libya, in the months prior to the deadly September 11, 2012, attack that killed US Ambassador Christopher Stevens and three other Americans. Despite these threats, the Obama Administration and State Department left its personnel there to fend for themselves.

    “Chris, absolutely I believe that”

Lies, lies, lies to help Obama get reelected.

If they will lie about something so obvious, what about the multiple little things?

These issues are why an investigation needs to be done. No one commenting here knows enough about the situation on the ground, let alone how the state department interacts with embassies to come up with any conclusions.
Take your own advice and get the facts (if that’s what you really want and not just delight in condemning others for political kicks).
If you are “completely for the truth and nothing but the truth” you would be withholding judgement until all the facts are examined.

We’ve been in Muslim countries for decades. We’re indirectly responsible for tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousands of deaths in Iraq because of sanctions during the 90′s. We dropped bombs in the no-fly zone literally every single year during that time as well. We’ve maintained troops in Saudi for about two decades. We’ve propped up brutal rulers in the ME for even longer. We most certainly have been in their world.

Once again, I’m NOT saying we were wrong…just pointing out facts

  13. plynth2 says:

I DO want to know the truth. As such I am reluctant to condemn anyone without knowing the facts. How many requests for additional security does the state department get in a day? How many requests were they getting in the days leading up to 9/11/12? How long does it take for security to be put in place after the request is approved? There were no demonstors in Libya so do you think the state department gave priority to the embassies and consulates that actually had protesters? Obviously.

Your son is brave and no doubt served honorably. How about we utilize his service and the service of quite literally all of my peers in a more effective manner?

A global caliphate is never going to happen, not in your lifetime, not in your son’s lifetime, nor in your great great great grandkid’s lifetimes. It’s laughable and not a reason that we have enemies.

One decade ago, how many extremists with the desire and ability to hurt us were there? How many today? Care to guess?

Did you not read the second comment I posted? I’m not advocating turning tail.

Our presence there most definitely fit the definition of an occupation…completely and totally. That’s not to say that we shouldn’t have been there, or that we should have executed the war differently. It’s simply pointing out facts, and recognizing the primary recruitment tools our enemies utilized. Understanding your enemy is a critical part of successfully engaging in warfare.

You need to catch up on your news plynth2,and you need to learn to look at information objectively. Believe me I’m completely for the truth and nothing but the truth with this but if you just dismiss this video out of hand, you don’t want to know the truth.

  17. Mark Anders says:

The big difference with this Scott is that people died, something that didn’t happen with Watergate.

  18. Vivien Hibbert says:

You can hardly call our presence in the Middle East “occupation.” What an insult to our forces who have fought for the freedom of all peoples in those lands. My son served in Iraq, and I know the kindness he offered those people and the freedom they have been handed – without payment! Our presence probably ticks off extremists, but this started way before we set foot in any Muslim country. Ultimately it is not about our presence there…it is that the extremists want a presence HERE!

  19. Vivien Hibbert says:

Absolute rubbish! Do you think for one moment that if every American gun was laid down and we walked away – they would hug us and smile? Extremist Muslims will go after any society that stands in the way of their worldwide Caliphate – Muslims, Christians, Atheists, Buddhists – it doesn’t matter. The issue is NOT that we killed them – the issue is that they are seeking worldwide dominion. If you are a homosexual, pacifist, woman with uncovered face, singer etc. they will have your head.

  20. Vivien Hibbert says:

The ‘good Muslims” are intimidated and silenced. We don’t need to be at war with any country! We need to be vigilant and aware of the real threat – radical Islam, which is as much a political ideology as a religion. It will take waaaay more than 11 years, and we may never “defeat” this ideology. It is madness. It is our business because they have made it our business. 9/11 was one example of them making it our business.

So you are one of those 5 people that watch Anderson Cooper. I was beginning to think you guys were just a myth and CNN was fudging their numbers.

  22. Daniel Zilberman says:

Isn’t the right wing FOX news (Ruper Murdoch’s enterprise) is a BIIG part of public media in the US? Are Bill O’Reilly or Shawn Hennety or Ann Coulter NOT elitist journalists? By all criteria, including their 6 figure salaries and affiliation with political views of their bosses – they are! I’m not speaking for NBC but Anderson Cooper of CNN indeed keeps them honest – his coverage of “Benghazi gate” form the beginning was justly critical of slow response by WH and Susan Rice. Be fair if you can!

  23. megamaniac76 says:

I am stunned at how many in the media are willing to turn a blind eye to anything and everything that might President Obama’s chances for reelection.

We should all boycott all mainstream media. Cancel your New York Times subscription, you TIME magazine description, turn off ABC, CBS, NBC, MSNBC, CNN and also the local affiliates to each of those. Its time for these journalist elitist snobs from New York to Los Angeles to find out who pays their bills. WE THE PEOPLE RUN THIS COUNTRY! NOT YOU!
